NEW YORK: More than 300 hours of new on-demand programming from ABC, Disney and ESPN has been added to the Time Warner Cable service, which is also gearing up to launch the Primetime HD On Demand channel for digital cable customers at no additional cost.
A variety of prime-time, sports and kids' programming from channels such as ABC, ABC Family, ESPN and Disney XD is now available on demand through Time Warner. The cable provider has also announced the launch of a new high-definition channel showcasing hit prime-time programming on November 10. Primetime HD On Demand will feature programming from ABC, NBC and CBS in high definition. This includes more than 100 hours of hit programming, with titles such as 30 Rock, The Office, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Medium and CSI.
“We are very excited to provide more of the quality programming that our customers have come to expect, in both standard and high definition,” said Melinda Witmer, the executive VP and chief programming officer for Time Warner Cable. “Now it is even more convenient for customers to have their favorite programming at any time, making it simple and easy for them.”
