Primetime Matches On Saturday, Labor Day HIghligt Busy Opening Weekend

Ready or not, ESPN's suite of
Properties will kick off the 2010
College football season with 31 games, beginning Thursday through Labor Day night.
Over the course of the five days, ESPN, ABC, ESPN2, college network ESPNU, broadband service ESPN3.com, ESPN 3D and ESPN Radio will all be in the game(s).
The broadband service tackles audiences first with Presbyterian visiting Wake Forest on Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m. An hour later, ESPN jumps into the collegiate gridiron fray with Southern Mississippi and South Carolina, with the second game of its opening doubleheader pitting USC against Hawaii at 11 p.m. In between, ESPNU will serve up Minnesota at Middle Tennessee at 7:30 p.m.
ESPN and ABC will each televise a matchup between ranked teams in primetime. On Saturday, No. 24 Oregon State matches up with. No. 6 TCU in the Cowboys Classic from Arlington, Texas, at 7:45 p.m. on ESPN, while No. 21 LSU plays No. 18 North Carolina in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game from Atlanta at 8 p.m. on Saturday Night Football on ABC.
Opening weekend concludes Labor Day with No. 3 Boise State taking on No. 10 Virginia Tech from FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN, ESPN Radio and ESPN 3D.
