The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) began broadcasting the VOV Traffic Information on VOVTV via SCTV [a cable operator] in Ho Chi Minh City today. The channel provides updated information and images of the city’s traffic situation using more than 20 cameras. Programmes are broadcast during daily rush hours: 6-7:30 AM, 11-12 AM and 4-6:30 PM. In the future, VOV will field specialized camera vehicles to broadcast live from congested traffic spots in Ho Chi Minh City and along Highway 1.
VOV Traffic Information in Ho Chi Minh City was launched by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on 2 January, 2010.
