France’s competition regulator has opened an investigation into France Telecom/Orange’s quad-play offering.
According to local reports, the regulator will initially undertake a detailed analysis of Orange’s Open offering. Orange’s competitors Bouygues Telecom, SFR and Free have complained about the 24-month duration of the contract for the service, which they say will prevent them entering the market. Free is set to launch its own 3G mobile offering in 2012.
