Arion’s successul OP biz
Arion Technology, a leading Korean STB manufacturer is making surprising success in global biddings for major operators with new developed secured CA STB these days.
Arion’s goal for 2011-2013 is 100% growth every year with 4-5 major customers and more than 30 operators with CA secured SD HD, PVR and Hybrid STB with Conax, Irdeto, Nagra, Latens CAS and OpenTV, MHEG5 MW.
Arion’s major customers are ;
1. DishTV, India which has more than 8M subs and the largest Indian PayTV operator. Arion is now supplying 1.5M STB a year and it is expected to reach 2M for next year.
In India, WWIL, a leading Cable MSO as the same DishTV’s Zee/Essel group Company which have more than 6M subs and Videocon d2h as 6th Indian DTH, But most growing operator under Videocon electronics brand and channels are also Arion’s customers in booming Indian PayTV market.
And also, Arion is a prime STB vendor for two new DTH operators in Nepal and supplied 150k STB in Sep/Oct this year and will expend to other Asian countries soon.
2. Telmex, Chile/Peru is a Mr.Slim’s Telmex group company which is a global wired and wireless Telco giant and PayTV player such as Embratel, Net Brasil, Telmex Chile and Mexico in Latin America. Arion is supplying new secure silicon HD/SD boxes to Telmex as a prime vendor.
3. Cablevision, a leading cable & terrestrial operator in Latin America as a Clarin group company in Argentina/Uruguay/Paraguay. Arion is a sole vendor for DVB SD/HD STB to them now.
4. Telefonica, Peru is a Cable MSO as a Telco giant, Telefonica group company. Arion is trying to extend to DVB-S/S2 Telefonica market as well with Nagra/Livewire team now.
