All Signs
Once in a blue moon we have what's happening on Friday, August 31. Ergo: a Blue Moon! Generally, there are 12 Full Moons a year (one a month). However, occasionally, 13 Full Moons occur in the year, which means one month has two Full Moons. In this case, the second Full moon in the same month is a Blue Moon. (For the keeners, there's another definition that states a Blue Moon is the third Full Moon in a season of four Full Moons, but hey, "Let's not quibble, Sybil.") To recap: On August 1, we had a Full Moon in Aquarius; and this Friday, we'll have a Full Moon in Pisces. I predict this will be a gentler Full Moon with a minimal amount of fallout. Pisces is a sensitive, shape-shifting sign. We'll have wiggle room to deal with things. ("Is this a death threat?" "Just label it documents.) See what I mean?
Aries (March 21-April 19)
Every Full Moon triggers increasing emotional energy building up in all of us. However, this week, the Full Moon in Pisces will be a gentler situation. (Whew!) At worst, you might experience conflict with co-workers starting around Wednesday. You might feel annoyed with someone. (Grrr.) It will probably be someone who has already annoyed you but this week they really get to you. You might identify with Alice Roosevelt who once said, "If you haven't got anything good to say about anybody, come sit by me." This could be related to the fact that you have excellent ideas about how to improve things at work (and to your health as well, incidentally), and perhaps someone fails to see the genius of your ideas. Pity.
Taurus (April 20-May 20)
The Full Moon on Friday is interesting because it provokes issues around romance, sports, vacations and relating to your kids. You might become concerned about a social situation. Essentially, things that are usually fun, pleasure and play will be slightly stressed by Friday's Full Moon. Do not be hasty with financial speculation. If you have any doubts, don't act. Mars opposite your sign now means your patience with partners and close friends is wearing thin. (Read: Someone close to you is annoying!) But you won't lose your temper because you rarely do. Instead, focus on entertaining at home and redecorating. (And if you look like your passport photo, you need a vacation.)
Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Every month, there are four signs that feel the Full Moon tension more than the other signs. Specifically, these are the signs that are at 9 o'clock/3 o'clock and 12 o'clock/6 o'clock. Well, the Full Moon on Friday (which is a Blue Moon) is a 12 o'clock/6 o'clock situation for you. This means it will likely set up tension between the demands of home and family versus the demands of your external life and your career. To put it another way, you can't keep everyone happy! Since you have a wonderful opportunity to make improvements at home and to your family relationships, I suggest you keep your focus there. (There are only 24 hours a day and you are only two people.)
Cancer (June 21-July 22)
Although the Full Moon this Friday will be mild for everyone, in fact for your sign it will be a mildly accident-prone situation. In fact, this accident-prone quality could build up starting around Wednesday. This is good to know so you can take precautions; most accidents are preventable. Tip: Don't be in a rush. Don't act or say things in haste. Give yourself lots of time to do everything and guard against distractions, especially anger. You might have something on your agenda that you want to convince others about. If so, be gently convincing. And finally, don't squat with your spurs on.
Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
Financial matters might come to a head by Friday. Earlier this summer, you were spending money like it was going out of style. (But you had fun!) Now you're surveying the battlefield and checking damages: credit card balances, unpaid bills and dwindling resources. Actually, this week could be a turning point. It might be your rallying cry! Your last bottle of expensive champagne - for awhile. Naturally, you're not going to change. But even champagne tastes on a beer wallet can still be fun for you because you know how to have fun. In a few weeks, it will be a great time to shop for wardrobe goodies. (Oops, did I just say that?)
Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You will certainly feel the build-up before Friday's Full Moon because it's directly opposite your sign. To explain: Every Full Moon is an opposition between the Sun and the Moon so "you" are part of this formula. (Sun in Virgo and Full Moon in Pisces - 180 degrees.) This means that by midweek, you might feel tension building up between you and partners or close friends. But let's face it, you're unusually forceful this week! The good news is you are making a fabulous impression of others. The bad news is you might be coming on too strong, especially if you're investigating something or trying to improve or reform others. Hmmm, people don't like that. Especially if what you say is true.
Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Your ability to research anything this week is quite phenomenal. You really do have the edge. Therefore, if there's something you need to learn more about or you're seeking a solution to a problem, dig in because you will likely find it! You have an unusually strong focus and penetrating insight right now, plus an instinct for the jugular. Because you are usually diplomatic, this shouldn't be a problem. However, your efforts could put you at odds with someone, especially at work. Focus instead on your money-making efforts because this looks highly profitable. You are approaching a very successful time in your life. ("Yay me!")
Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
Your increased popularity continues: Everyone wants to see your face. Enjoy! You'll be particularly powerful and effective talking to others, especially in group situations. You might also meet a powerful teacher or someone who makes a big impression on you. However, relations with children, as well as your relationship with a lover or romantic partner, could become conflicted midweek as tension builds up before Friday's Full Moon. But hey, this is nothing you can't handle. (Peanuts compared to the last full Moon on August 1.) Get physical outdoor exercise because Mars is in your sign now giving you vim, vigour and vitality! Mars also makes you sexy and frisky. (Hmmm.)
Sagittarius (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
With the Sun high in your chart, people notice you more than usual, especially bosses and VIPs. But this week, the Sun is challenged by the Full Moon on Friday. This means you might feel pulled between what others want regarding your career and your public reputation versus what people at home want from you in terms of attention, support or attendance. But you can't be two places at once, can you? Although you must respect the relations of everyone in your personal life, you can't ignore your job and career right now. It's too "public." Furthermore, you're making a great impression on others and it would be a shame to waste this. You've got the baton in your hand; run with it!
Capricorn (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
When it comes to politics, religion or issues regarding publishing, the media and higher education, this week you're deadly, Dudley. (And you'll be just as convincing and powerful with legal or medical matters.) Enjoy this power of speech and expression because others will really listen to you now. However, be aware that this week is mildly accident-prone for you. This could be a physical accident or a verbal gaffe. Naturally, if you're calm, collected and you think before you act or speak, it won't happen. (A closed mouth gathers no feet.) Instead focus on ways to improve your job because gifts, goodies and assistance will come your way.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
As the week wears on, disputes about insurance matters, inheritances, taxes, debt and shared property might intensify. The Full Moon on Friday will magnify your feelings about these issues. Disputes might arise. However, after the Full Moon peaks, this could mark a turning point where these issues come to a head and are then settled. (That would be nice.) Fortunately, fair Venus will smooth the way with all your discussions, especially with co-workers. And fiery Mars arouses your ambition to get whatever you're going after. It looks like you can successfully bring something to closure. ("Slam!")
Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
The only Full Moon in your sign all year is taking place this Friday. And because it's the second Full Moon in August, it's a rare Blue Moon. Technically, this is a relatively meaningless statistic. However, the Full Moon is the real deal. Naturally, you will feel a build-up of tension within you starting midweek, around Wednesday. This could manifest as squabbles with partners and close friends. You've been very powerful dealing with groups lately, and others might think you are throwing your weight around a bit too much. (Or not.) You yearn to travel. Things are good at work. Your home life is constantly improving. So don't worry about any of this too much. It happens once a year, that's all.
