Netherlands surpassess 5 milliondigital TV homes

During the second quarter of the year, the total number of Dutch digital television homes has surpassed 5 million, according to research from Telecompaper. The new figures means that 63% of all TV homes are now receiving digital signals.
The country’s largest cable operator, Ziggo, has the biggest market share, just over 33%; runner-up is KPN TV with their two platforms combined, the DTT service Digitenne and the IPTV service Interactieve TV, with a market share of 21.5%.
Cabler UPC and DTH provider Canal Digitaal Satelliet each have a market share of 16.4%.
