UPC Business has secured a three-year contract with Phonovation to carry its national and international voice traffic as well as handling switching.
Phonovation is responsible for the processing of some 15 million calls and texts every year, across some of Ireland’s leading companies and government departments. The company is also the largest operator of premium and non-premium rate calls for both broadcast and print media including the provision of services for RTE and Independent News & Media.
“As a market leader in providing voice and text solutions, we see tremendous opportunities in taking our proven services and know-how to more destinations,” commented Phonovation sales director Gavin Carpenter. “UPC was selected as our preferred supplier as they offered the most cost-effective network solution”
UPC has invested €1 billion into developing its fibre network. The UPC Business division provides communication solutions for small and medium enterprises, corporate and wholesale customers. UPC Ireland delivers these services over national fibre and microwave networks in Ireland.
