The Polish cable operator Aster had better than expected results last year, posting a net profit of PLN2.8 million (€708,180), as opposed to a net loss of PLN94.04 million in 2008.
Published by Rzeczpospolita and sourced from Monitor Polski B, the figures also show Aster had revenues of PLN419.9 million (PLN389.9 million in 2008) and an operational profit of PLN134.5 million (PLN115.4 million in 2008).
The company is currently in the process of being sold by Mid Europa Partners (MEP).
Despite attracting a lot of interest, potential buyers are having to take into account debts of around PLN1.5 billion.
