A new regional channel is expected to make its debut today (June 18) on the Czech Republic’s third multiplex.
E15 reports that the channel, which is known as TV Gimi and owned by the entrepreneur Alois Valtr, is built on the existing small station Gimi, which serves Ceske Budejovice.
TV Gimi will cover the whole of South Bohemia, reaching around 6.6% of the population.
TV Gimi is understood to be paying Ceske Radiokomunikace CZK10 million (€392,637) a year for distribution on the multiplex.
It will also be carried by all cable networks in South Bohemia.
