Channel 4's head of channel management Rosemary Newell is to leave the broadcaster after 13 years.
Newell, one of Channel 4's longest-serving senior executives, currently oversees the broadcaster's £500m-plus programming budget.
She joined Channel 4 in 1997 as head of programme planning and strategy, before being promoted to controller of broadcasting in 2001. In 2004, she was handed responsibility for managing the schedules and budgets for the whole Channel 4 portfolio.
Speaking to The Guardian, Newell said: "It has been an exhilarating and eventful 13 years and I've relished playing a strategic role in the growth of the Channel 4 portfolio.
"From a single linear channel to a fully fledged digital portfolio it's been a fascinating time to be at Channel 4. But now feels like the right moment to leave, and I do so wishing everyone at the channel much success for the future."
Newell worked at the BBC between 1990 and 1997 as a scheduler on BBC One and BBC Two, before being brought to Channel 4 by former chief executive Michael Jackson.
