Based on Mordecai Richler's prize-winning comic novel, Barney’s Version is the warm, wise, and witty story of Barney Panofsky (Paul Giamatti), a seemingly ordinary man who lives an extraordinary life. A candid confessional, told from Barney's point of view, the film spans four decades and two continents, taking us through the different acts? of his unusual history. There is his first wife, Clara (Rachelle Lefevre), a flame-haired, flagrantly unfaithful free sprit with whom Barney briefly lives la vie de Boheme in Rome. The second Mrs. P. (Minnie Driver), is a wealthy Jewish Princess who shops and talks incessantly, barely noticing that Barney is not listening. And it is at their lavish wedding that Barney meets, and starts pursuing, Miriam (Rosamund Pike), his third wife, the mother of his two children, and his true love. With his father, Izzy (Dustin Hoffman) as his sidekick, Barney takes us through the many highs, and a few too many lows, of his long and colorful life. Not only does Barney turn out to be a true romantic, he is also capable of all kinds of sneaky acts of gallantry, generosity, and goodness when we - and he - least expect it. His is a gloriously full life, played out on a grand scale. And, at its center stands an unlikely hero - the unforgettable Barney Panofsky.

In Femmine contro Maschi si intrecciano tre storie dedicate ai buffi difetti delle donne, intorno al tema generale della disperata ricerca dell'uomo ideale. Qui si ritrovano tutti i personaggi di Maschi contro femmine, insieme ad alcuni, importanti, nuovi acquisti. Nella prima, l'androloga Anna (Luciana Littizzetto) e il benzinaio Piero (Emilio Solfrizzi) sono alle prese con il noioso tran-tran di un matrimonio ventennale. Lei colta e affettuosa, lui ignorante e traditore. Quando un provvidenziale incidente fa perdere a Piero la memoria, Anna lo riformatta, cercando di trasformarlo nell'uomo perfetto. Nella seconda storia, il bidello Rocco e l'impiegato Michele (Ficarra e Picone) suonano in una cover band dei Beatles. Rocco è osteggiato dalla compagna (Francesca Inaudi), maestra nella stessa scuola, mentre Michele, grazie ad una sapiente bugia, riesce a tenere all'oscuro sua moglie (Serena Autieri), una donna manager che crede che abbia smesso con la musica. Nella terza storia, il chirurgo plastico Marcello Claudio Bisio) e l'impiegata Paola (Nancy Brilli) sono una coppia divorziata da anni. I due fingono di essere una famiglia felice solo quando vanno a trovare la mamma di lui (Wilma De Angelis) ottantenne e malata di cuore. Quando un cardiologo diagnostica pochi giorni di vita alla nonna, quest'ultima chiede di poterli passare con la sua famiglia a casa loro.
Immaturi

Giorgio è uno psichiatra infantile che va in crisi alla notizia che potrebbe diventare padre, Lorenzo un agente immobiliare che per nulla al mondo lascerebbe il letto a castello e la colazione a letto che gli assicura la permanenza in casa dei genitori, Luisa è una manager separata con una figlia meno distratta di lei, Francesca una chef che cerca di disintossicarsi dall'appetito sessuale, Piero un dj che ascolta ogni notte le nostalgie altrui vivendo immerso nelle proprie e Virgilio quello che con una bugia, vent'anni prima, ha disintegrato il gruppo. Ora però i sei ex compagni di liceo si ritrovano, alla soglia dei quarant'anni, quando una raccomandata del ministero della pubblica istruzione annulla il loro esame di maturità e li obbliga a rifarlo. Paolo Genovese, alla seconda regia in solitaria dopo il proficuo tandem con Luca Miniero, stana un incubo ricorrente di molti, trasformandolo in commedia romantica e associandosi al gusto per il ripescaggio di quell'età liminale che da qualche anno impazza sui social network, causando reazioni di imbarazzo e vergogna ma anche e soprattutto divertimento e nostalgia. Il suo Immaturi si propone infatti di raccontare il grande freddo di una generazione che sulla carta non ha ragione di dirsi delusa, poiché si presume nata senza illusioni, relativista, accontentata o comunque capace di accontentarsi. Una considerazione discutibile, che val bene un film che l'argomenti, la confuti o l'approfondisca, ma Miniero non è Zanasi né Lucio Pellegrini e la sua è una commedia che bandisce per partito preso le amarezze e non mira né a commuovere né a far sbellicare ma cerca una terza via, un equilibrio e una felicità epicuree (per restare in tema). Un'opzione di per sé inattaccabile e persino ragionevolissima e auspicabile, nell'ottica di quel cinema medio nazionale tanto invocato per risollevare le sorti e i bilanci di casa e finalmente realtà, di questi mesi e di certi registi.
The Last Exorcism (L'ultimo esorcismo)

When he arrives on the rural Louisiana farm of Louis Sweetzer, the Reverend Cotton Marcus expects to perform just another routine "exorcism" on a disturbed religious fanatic. An earnest fundamentalist, Sweetzer has contacted the charismatic preacher as a last resort, certain his teenage daughter Nell is possessed by a demon who must be exorcized before their terrifying ordeal ends in unimaginable tragedy. Buckling under the weight of his conscience after years of parting desperate believers with their money, Cotton and his crew plan to film a confessionary documentary of this, his last exorcism. But upon arriving at the already blood drenched family farm, it is soon clear that nothing could have prepared him for the true evil he encounters there. Now, too late to turn back, Reverend Marcus' own beliefs are shaken to the core when he and his crew must find a way to save Nell - and themselves - before it is too late.

Unfortunately, Pomeroy refuses to cover morning show staples like celebrity gossip, weather, fashion and crafts - let alone work with his new co-host, Colleen Peck (Diane Keaton), a former beauty queen and longtime morning show personality who is more than happy covering morning "news." As Mike and Colleen clash, first behind the scenes and then on the air, Becky's blossoming love affair with fellow producer Adam Bennett (Patrick Wilson) begins to unravel - and soon Becky is struggling to save her relationship, her reputation, her job and ultimately, the show itself.
