As part of thisyear’sChildren In Needevent the BBC has produced a 3D film of ‘Strictly Coming Dancing’ professional dancer Flavia Cacace and her partner performing an Argentinean tango.
The three-minute film will be shown in cinemas prior to the fundraising event on 19 November.
It was produced by the BBC as part of its trials of 3D technology, although the broadcaster has not yet announced any plans to launch a 3D channel, preferring to focus on individual 3D programmes.
Recent trials of the technology were believed to be moving towards broadcasting some of the London 2012 Olympics in 3D.
The Children in Need appeal raised a record breaking £39 million in 2009, its 30th year.
