US telco HickoryTech has passed 100,000 subscribers for its IPTV service, having recently taken big steps in improving the feature set and reach of the service.
The telco, which provides broadband services across southern Minnesota, reports that it has achieved a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32% for the IPTV service since launch in 2005.
HickoryTech has recently added DVR capabilities, as well as more than 50 high-definition channels and an exclusive interactive media service with on-demand weather and news, now available in 13 communities.
The company announced last August that it had selected Nokia Siemens Networks to provide a multi-screen IPTV platform for the introduction of high-definition services.
