TVonics, the British Digital TV switchover has announced the arrival of their 500GB Freeview HD recorder.
With the looks to grace the most stylish of living areas, the DTR-HD500 comes with the latest Freeview features including trailer recording, which allows consumers to record programmes as soon as the trailer appears. You also get recommendation technology that allows broadcasters to recommend programmes based on recorded content.
An HDMI switch allows consumers to connect two HDMI devices to the TV with just theone lead meaning fewer cables. Consumers are able to switch between devices such as games consoles or Blu-Ray players. The DTR HD500 will also upscale any programme shot in Standard Definition (SD) to 1080p HD quality. Two USB ports allow users to update the unit’s software as it becomes available. In addition, users can connect supporting USB devices such as digital cameras for the display of holiday snaps on a big screen.
The new HD Freeview Box from TVonics will become available with Dolby Surround Sound from mid-October. Consumers that purchase the product prior to that time are referred to the website (by a sticker on packaging) where they can register for a free upgrade on 20th October.
