GVT is planning to launch a hybrid DTH+IP pay-TV service in the second half of next year, according to reports in local news website Teletime.
The reports quote Alcides Troller, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at the company as saying that the IP elements of the service will be delivered over the operator's VDSL-based broadband network, depending on the approval of the PL 116 bill (previously known as the PL 29 bill).
GVT is also planning its investments for 2011, which should be defined in October, with a budget of BRL 1.5bn (US$ 870mn) approved by its shareholders.
