Spanish satellite operator Hispasat is planning to launch by end of 2010 its new satellite, Hispasat 1E. The new satellite will replace Hispasat 1C, which is stationed at the orbital position 30W. The aim is to provide a new satellite service for Europe and America, and to supplement the fleet of the Spanish satellite operator. According to unofficial information for the Hispasat 1E will launch on December 21 this year.
Hispasat 1E will be launched by an Ariane 5 in its 199 mission. with Hispasat satellite there is the Korean satellite Koreasat6 that will be at the position 116E. Hispasat 1E will have 57 transponders in Ka and Ku bands.
