AT&T has launched the U-verse Mobile app for Windows Phone 7 devices, enabling its mobile customers with compatible devices to download and watch TV shows.
The app will be available on the HTC Surround, Samsung Focus, and soon on the LG Quantum. It is already available on over ten qualifying smartphones and on four major mobile operating systems.
Users can browse and search a library of downloadable shows, which are downloaded over a Wi-Fi connection, and those customers with a subscription to AT&T's IPTV service 'U-verse TV' can also schedule and manage their DVR recordings using the app.
AT&T added 236,000 subscribers to its IPTV service 'U-verse TV' during the third quarter of this year, reaching a total of 2.7mn customers.
