The new channel will run for 24 hours per day and will carry films, television series and documentaries. Classic TV is being made available for free within the basic package to all subscribers of the IPTV service. Optima Telekom launched its IPTV service in September 2009, offering around 70 linear channels, content from major US providers such as HBO, and a DVR service called Snimalica.
The service is however going up against a more established offering from T-Hrvatski Telekom (T-HT), which is majority-owned by Deutsche Telekom and launched its IPTV service 'MAXtv' in 2006: the telco just revealed that it has now passed 271,000 subscribers for the service.
