The Romanian station Realitatea TV may be about to see a change in ownership.
According to Nine O Clock News, Cristian Burci, the founder of the national commercial station Prima TV, has emerged as a clear favourite to buy Realitatea TV, which is part of the Realitatea Group and currently owned by Sorin Ovidiu Vintu.
Although Vintu is apparently in no hurry to sell Realitatea TV, he has revealed that he has received no fewer than nine offers for the station in the past week, one of them from Burci.
Realitatea TV made its debut in 2001 and is a news-based service distributed via cable and DTH.
