Pakistan’s government has asked the national broadcaster, Pakistan Television (PTV) to look into launching sports and English channels, Associated Press of Pakistan reports. The Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Qamar Zaman Kaira, asked the management of PTV to prepare a feasibility report on launching the two new channels without delay. Speaking at a PTV function in Islamabad, he promised the broadcaster the government’s full support in implementing the project.
