French broadcaster Lagadere Active has acquired 26 episodes of US kids series Yo Gabba Gabba! from Zodiak Rights.
The deal is one of the first kids deals following Zodiak's acquisition of UK producer and distributor RDF Media and subsequent merger of the two companies' international sales arms. The show was previously distributed by RDF Rights.
Lagadere Active's preschool pay channel Tiji will air the series at the end of this year, while digital terrestrial kids channel Gulli will air the series in 2012.
The show is produced by The Magic Store and W!ldbrain Entertainment, which was recently sold to Canadian kids producer and distributor DHX Media. It airs on Nick Jr in the United States and has been sold to UK broadcaster Channel 4, Disney Latin America, Canada's Treehouse, Australia's ABC and Hong Kong's ATV.
