UPC’s digital TV service is now received in 400,000 homes in the Czech Republic, or almost one in ten of the country’s 4.3 million total.
When analogue pay-TV subscribers are also taken into account, the figure is closer to one in eight households.
UPC Digital TV currently offers viewers up to 109 channels, over 80 of which are in Czech or Slovak and 12 in HD. Unlike other operators, UPC provides the latter free of charge.
Significantly, 75% of UPC’s new customers in the last half year have ordered digital TV and HD PVRs.
