The Czech cable operator RIO Media has introduced its digital TV service in the cities of Olomouc and Prostejov.
According to Parabola, the move was made on September 27 – the operator originally signalled its intention to so by the end of last month.
RIO Media was formed in 2008 and is the third largest cable operator in the Czech Republic. Backed by Argus Capital Partners, it currently has around 120,000 subscribers located in mostly central and northern Bohemia and Moravia.
Its digital TV service will eventually be extended to 10 more Czech cities.
