France’s AB Group could be preparing to make an offer for Orange’s Cinema Series channels, according to local press.
According to newspaper La Tribune, AB’s sale of the TMC and NT1 digital-terrestrial channels to broadcaster TF1 has given it a war-chest to make the offer. AB is reportedly interested in Orange’s rights catalogue, which includes films from Warner Bros and a number of US series.
However, France Telecom is reported to be focusing on a possible sale of the channels to pay-TV provider Canal Plus.
