MTV's Reality Hit Draws 6.7 Million For Sept, 30 Episode; Tops All Of TV With The Demo

MTV's Jersey Shore ended September with best-ever marks in viewers and the demo most-coveted by Madison Avenue.
The reality series drew a record 6.7 million watchers on Sept. 30, according to Nielsen data. Moreover, it notched a 3.4 rating among persons 18 to 49, the best on all of TV --broadcast included -- in that hour.
Jersey Shore, after taking a minor step pack the prior week in the face of the bow of the broadcast season, also posted a 4.3 national household rating, a 6.3 rating among women 18 to 34 and a 6.9 among the 12-to-17 set.
