STRONG flexes STB muscle with Thomson brand
STRONG Digital TV has licensed the Thomson brand to distribute digital free-to-air (FTA) set top boxes (STB) in Europe, and selected countries in the Middle East and Africa.
Established over 140 years ago in Japan, STRONG Group is a global supplier of TV centric products and provides a large product range of set-top boxes to the retail and operator markets.
Its distribution structure now reaches over 50 countries.
The THOMSON brand is being licensed from Technicolor S.A. (formerly Thomson S.A.) which will retains ownership of the THOMSON brand. The new devices will see use across the digital TV spectrum, encompassing satellite, terrestrial, cable and IPTV.
