TV Genius discovers content

IBC 2010 – Stand IP422. TV Genius’ IBC demonstration of content discovery will include a live deployment of a 3-screen content discovery platform. The company is demonstrating how it enhances the TV experience with a personalized search that provides relevant recommendations across TV, mobile and the web.
“TV Genius provides an enhanced converged viewing experience by enabling viewers to discover programming from a variety of sources,” said Tom Weiss, CEO, TV Genius. “As operators compete to be the gateway to home entertainment, personalized TV is a key service differentiator. Offering easy-to-use search and recommendation functionality to viewers across a variety of platforms is central to this.”
TV Genius recently announced a partnership with Capablue – the Web-TV convergence agency, and Brightcove, one of the leading online video platform providers, to implement ‘Connected’, Capablue’s fully customisable portal platform for multiple devices and content platforms.
Connected will support UK and European connected TV platforms, including Samsung, Sony, Yahoo!, Canvas and HbbTV.
