Chinese Ambassador to Iran Xie Xiaoyan voiced his country’s readiness to develop cultural and media cooperation with Iran in all fields. In a meeting with the Head of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Ezatollah Zarghami, he described Iran-China ties as historical and said that the Chinese government and nation are both keen on developing cultural and media cooperation with Iran.
Characterizing cultural commonalities as a desirable ground for expansion of media communications, Xiaoyan added that the two countries, in addition to exchanging cultural products, had close cooperation in transfer of technology in the field of media.
Mr Zarghami noted that development of cultural and media ties between the two countries would bring them closer to each other. All-out cooperation will help strengthen the economy and culture of the region, he said. The official voiced IRIB’s readiness for undertaking any joint venture, especially in the field of media production.
