Grosselli# deploys Claro's HFC network in Argentina
According# to what Atilio Servodidio, Grosselli's operating manager, told NexTV Latam, in Argentina, the company Grosselli Telecomunicaciones is in charge of the installation of networks that Claro, ex Telmex, is deploying in such country. Additionally, the company participated in the deployment of the GPON network that the Mexican firm has previously set up, and by means of which it offers telephony and Internet services in the residential market.
According to Servodidio, the HFC network started installation in the locality of Avellaneda, and will be extended towards the south area of Great Buenos Aires. In turn, the FTTH network is located in the West area. In that case, "we connected GPON only in Tres de Febrero locality", José Grosselli, general manager of the company, added. Both technologies not only enable Claro to offer Internet and telephony but also, in the future, Pay-TV services in the country, something totally banned by the current regulation.
Grosselli# has 21 years of experience in the market and has built over 16,000 kilometers of network. The company was created in Argentina and currently has "an independent company, Grosselli Brazil, located in Sao Paulo", explained Servodidio. In the Brazilian market, its main clients are Net, the main cable operator in Latin America, and Embratel, both América M?vil's. In Argentina#, Grosselli is also working on Cablevisi?n's new networks, the main MSO of the country, both in the interior of Argentina# and Capital Federal and surroundings.
Among the main services offered by the company are: Consulting and Development of Headend Engineering, advisory in technology and equipment selection, fieldwork, design of networks, HFC network and optic fiber network construction, installation of subscribers (triple play), structural wiring of buildings and training of technicians for HFC technology#.
