Bouygues Telecom has reported a sharp rise in the take-up of its Bbox triple play service with 645,000 homes connected at the end of September. This marks an increase of 120,00 during the third quarter and 472,00 during the past twelve months.
The Bouygues broadband service was launched at the end of 2008 offering full triple play at the rock-bottom price of EUR 29.90 a month including a basic TV offer and unlimited national telephony. The offer has enjoyed a rapid increase in numbers during the past year.
On November 2, 2010 Bouygues launched Bbox Fibre, an ultra-high speed broadband service with speeds up to 100 Mbps over the Numéricable fibre infrastructure. In addition to the basic TV offer, the Bbox also offers access to additional TV services from Canal+/CanalSat and Numéricable.
