Technology provider N.DS will get a new name following its take-over by US electronics giant Cisco.
The N.DS brand will disappear, Yves Padrines, vice president and general manager at N.DS for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, told German industry magazine "Digitalmagazin" at the trade fair ANGA Cable in Cologne.
By the end of this year, the company will be renamed Cisco Service Provider Video Technology Group, said Padrines. Product brands such as VideoGuard, MediaHighway or Snowflake will keep their names, though.
N.DS provides conditional access solutions, middleware and other technologies for digital and interactive television to broadcasters including BSkyB, Sky Deutschland and Kabel Deutschland.
