June 7, 2012
YouTube has announced plans to stream live Olympic Games coverage to users in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
In total, 64 territories across the two continents will be able to watch the games live from London via the International Olympic Committee’s YouTube channel.
The IOC Channel will have 10 HD live-feeds from the Games, running from 09:00 to 23:00 UK time, plus a 24-hour broadcast of the Olympic News Channel. There will also be highlight reels and full videos of events after they’ve finished.
In total, over 2,200 hours of coverage, including all of the medal finals, will be made available.
