The
Russian DTH operation Raduga TV, which is backed by Modern Times Group (MTG), will add a new package of channels to its offer on September 15.
It will consist of 13 Russian services, headed by Channel 1, Rossiya 1 and Rossiya 24 and also including NTV, Ren, Russia Today and Mother and Child, and be offered free of charge to existing subscribers of the platform.
Separately, Intelsat has announced that the rival Russian DTH platform Orion Express is making full use of the additional capacity it now has on Intelsat 15 (IS-15) at 85 degrees East.
The latter was launched in November 2009 and has enabled Orion Express to grow its offer through Continent TV, a second platform it launched, with the backing of RuSat, earlier this year.
