The telecommunications operator Claro launched in Chile its "3 Play Wireless" package, which includes mobile broad band, satellite Pay-TV and telephony. According to the company, it is the first offer of the kind in that country, and it will enable clients to have access to the three services in areas "where wires do not reach". It is offered at USD 67. The initiative arises after the merger with Telmex.
According to its web page, the offer includes a fixed wireless phone, which enables users to receive text messages and carry the device; and offers 1 GB 3G mobile Internet and three satellite TV plans: a basic 34-channel plan, a second one called Entertainment with 47 channels at USD 75 and the so-called Sport Plan that offers 51 channels at USD 86. However, the company announced that its product flexibility will be kept, "so that clients can combine them according to their needs, as we have done with all our services".
The operator is taking advantage of its recent merger with Telmex to include DTH in its packed offer. According to Gerardo Mu?oz, Claro General Manager, "the integration of these three services is part of the challenges aimed at meeting an increasing product and simple service demand and in a single location".
