Broadband bundles can save consumers money, it has been claimed.
A money-saving expert has urged consumers to sign up for one of Sky's bundle deals.
By getting broadband, digital TV and home phone services from the same provider, consumers can often reduce their outgoings on each, pointed out Richard Cohen on the Money Market blog.
"Sky, for instance, offers free broadband to some subscribers," the columnist explained.
Mr Cohen went on to advise anyone looking to take out a pay-TV package for the first time or change providers to do their homework before committing to anything.
"If you decide to switch, search for introductory offers such as vouchers and free installation," he recommended.
Sky is one of the companies currently running a promotion of this nature, with people who take out a Sky+ TV deal with the broadcaster online receiving £25 of Marks & Spencer vouchers.
And £50 of coupons for the high-street retailer are available to consumers who take out a Sky+HD subscription, although this latter deal is due to expire on December 23rd 2010.
