The Slovenian alternative telco T-2 has ceased co-operation with the incumbent Telekom Slovenije and stated working with Si.mobil.
Although the move should improve first and foremost the mobile services T-2 offers, it also opens up the possibility of the two companies jointly providing mobile TV services.
T-2 was established in the city of Maribor in May 2004 and delivers TV services to its subscribers via VDSL and FTTH technology.
Si.mobil was meanwhile established in 1999 and is backed by Telekom Austria.
T-2 has been involved in a dispute with Telekom Slovenije over access to the latter’s fixed-line infrastructure.
