Operating profits at the French set-top developer Netgem have declined by 60%, according to the company’s consolidated results for 2011.
Posting an operating profit of €12.6 million the company said it was still impacted by the industry-wide hard disk shortage caused by last year’s flooding in Thailand. It said the availability and pricing of hard disk drives are now coming back to normal.
Issuing a new three-year plan, Netgem said it aimed to double its international sales over the next three years. The company plans to target tier-1 operators that have begun to reassess their current range as develop end to end solutions for tier-2 and tier-3 groupings
