Poland’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) has awarded Canal + Cyfrowy a licence for the channel Canal 3D.
Canal+ Cyfrowy, which operates the DTH platform Cyfra+, was the first broadcaster in the country to show 3D programming, with a transmission nearly two years ago in May 2010.
It has since gradually increased the amount of content it offers in the format and the licence will help the company further develop Canal+ 3D, which is currently a daily, three-hour service.
