Popular UK shopping channel Bid TV has renewed its multiplexing and uplinking contract with Arqiva. The agreement extends the relationship between the two companies to 15 years and includes an upgrade of the channel’s multiplexes at Arqiva’s London facility.
Malcolm Campbell, Commercial Director at Arqiva Broadcast & Media, said: “Over the past ten years Arqiva’s teleport services have supported the growth of Bid TV into three successful channels – Bid TV, Price-Drop TV and Speed Auction TV. Amongst the core services we provide to these channels are multiplexing, uplinking and satellite capacity enabling their distribution to the UK DTH market”.
Arqiva currently provides management and delivery of over 400 standard and high definition TV channels worldwide.
