TAM Airlines is offering Inmarsat SwiftBroadband in-flight mobile connectivity services, provided by OnAir, on TAM Airbus A321 flights operating out of Brazil, OnAir announced Oct. 28.
The OnAir service allows TAM passengers to make and receive phone calls, send and receive text messages, and access the Internet through GPRS networks from their own GSM handsets.
“We are delighted to help TAM deliver a service to their clients that will differentiate them from their competitors. The service meets customers' needs as they travel with TAM to and from Brazil's fast-growing markets,” OnAir CEO Ian Dawkins said in a statement.
