Popular NBC shows including House, Heroes and 30 Rock will be available in high definition to Virgin Media subscribers following a multiscreen agreement between the cableco and NBC Universal International Television Distribution.
The shows will be available through Virgin’s TV on demand service as well as its online and mobile ‘Virgin Media Player’ services.
Virgin has been growing its online and mobile players as part of its multiscreen strategy. It currently has over 4,600 hours of TV, film and music available, with several hundred hours in the HD format.
