Sharp has launched the BD-HP90S, the company’s first 3D capable Blu-ray player, that can be positioned either horizontally or vertically and is only 36mm thin, less than most laptop computers.
The player has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity and is compatible with other DLNA devices which means that the BD-HP90S will be able to stream content seamlessly either locally or from online sources such as Youtube.
It will be available next month for £379.99 (E437) and will play a number of formats including DiVX, MP3s and JPEG. The BD-HP90S also comes with the AQUOS Pure Mode function which sync the Blu-ray player with Sharp’s own television range.
