The CSA has confirmed that Canal Plus and TV Numéric and the football league, the LFP, have applied to operate a new pay-TV channel on DTT.
The LFP wants to run a soccer channel with the rights currently shared between Canal Plus and Orange, as they are not bidding for the rights from 2012. Canal Plus wants to air Canal Plus Family channel, while TV Numéric wants to extend its current offer including Paris Première, TF6, Planète and Eurosport.
The CSA is to hold consultation and make a decision in January.
