James Spence Tapped to Oversee Creative at Syfy

NEW YORK: Syfy has appointed James Spence as VP and creative director, to oversee creative development on all on- and off-air promotions for the channel.
Spence was most recently a BBC Group creative director at Red Bee Media. He will now be based in Syfy's New York office, reporting to Michael Engleman, the senior VP of marketing and global brand strategy and creative at Syfy. Prior to Red Bee, Spence was a commercials director in Toronto Canada.
Engleman commented: "James' track record of creating buzz-worthy and innovative creative solutions will make him a great addition to a team already committed to making imagination our top priority. The kind of energy and expertise he brings to the table will help us take the brand and business to the next level. I'm excited to see the results."
